It is for a start you have already decided on; choosing the place is a separate service.
What happens
You map out the weeks before and after the start, build a separation routine suited to your child's age, and agree what to share with the school and what to ask. Some tears and clinginess are an ordinary part of settling in. Distress that does not ease over several weeks, or that affects sleep, eating or everyday life, deserves a psychological look; this service does not treat anxiety.
