About ParentSide

ParentSide is a parenting product built for Türkiye. It follows a family from planning a baby through the end of a child's sixth year, and brings together what a parent needs at each stage: what is happening now, something to do today, something to cook, other parents at the same stage, and professional support when it is genuinely needed.

What is ParentSide?

ParentSide is a content, community and services product covering the early years of parenting. It groups parents by the stage they are in, gives practical information specific to that stage, and makes it easier to reach a professional when one is genuinely needed.

The product is offered in Turkish and English. Turkish is the primary language; the English version is the same product, not a separate one.

Who is it for?

Parents in Türkiye who are planning a baby, are pregnant, or are raising a child up to the age of six. Mothers and fathers use the same product; content is personalised by stage, not by gender.

What can parents do on ParentSide?

The product is built around the same question asked at different moments: what is happening now, what can I do today, what can I cook, who can I talk to, and when should I get support.

Stage pages — 10 public pages explaining what happens in each stage.
Activities — 129 activity ideas, filtered by age and situation.
Recipes — 319 recipes organised by age band, from first foods to preschool.
Baby names — 691 names joined to official TÜİK data, with reviewed meanings and origins.
Community and ParentTable — meeting other parents at the same stage, online and in person.
Services — standardised expert services ParentSide defines, organised by the need they answer.

What is Community?

Community groups parents by the stage they are currently in. There is a group for each of the 10 stages, so a question reaches people going through the same thing rather than disappearing into a mass of posts written years ago about a different stage.

Community requires an account and is not public. It is not indexed by search engines and is not shown to people who are not members.

What is ParentTable?

ParentTable is small, in-person tables where parents at a similar stage meet. Instead of a crowded forum or a messaging group, it proposes sitting at the same table and sharing questions and experiences directly.

Activities, recipes and baby names

Activities can be chosen by age, by how long they take, by whether they need materials, and by where they happen. Recipes are organised by age band, and each carries ingredients, method, texture, storage and safety notes.

Baby names join two separate datasets and deliberately keep them apart: popularity comes from TÜİK's official birth registrations, while meanings and origins come from a reviewed corpus based largely on the Turkish Language Association's dictionary of given names. A meaning is never invented where no recorded source supports one.

How does Services work?

Services starts from what is happening to you rather than from a job title. Each need area opens onto the standardised service types ParentSide defines for it, so two providers describing the same support cannot present it as two different things.

Providers go through ParentSide's approval process and appear only under the service types they were approved for. Services can be browsed without an account; where online booking is open, the appointment is arranged through ParentSide.

What ParentSide is not

ParentSide offers community and supportive information. It is not a medical service and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

It is not a healthcare institution and does not provide healthcare.
It does not diagnose, prescribe treatment, or give medication or dosage information.
It does not replace a doctor, midwife or other health professional.
It is not a channel for emergencies.
It is not a childcare-staffing or nanny-placement platform.
Not all content has been reviewed by an expert; where it has, that page says so.

Built for Türkiye

ParentSide is built for Türkiye, and it is built that way at the level of the content: baby names rest on TÜİK's official birth registrations, vaccination content follows the Turkish Ministry of Health's national childhood immunisation schedule, and ParentTable meetups are organised by province and district.

Services are offered nationwide and are not limited to a particular city or region.
