What this helps with
A midwife, nurse or doctor with lactation scope observes a real feed and works from what they see, not from a description. Most feeding problems have a mechanical cause that is far easier to correct once someone has watched it happen.
What happens
Positioning and latch worked through with your baby, a plan for pain or supply if that is your concern, and clear next steps for pumping or returning to work. Bring your pump and any bottles you use. A baby who is losing weight, feeding very poorly or unwell needs to be seen by a doctor first — this service works alongside medical care, not instead of it.
